The school enriches the musical life of the city and the region by organizing a plethora of concerts. It also contributes to increasing scientific achievements in various fields of musical knowledge. The Academy trains about six hundred students at any one time – instrumentalists, vocalists, conductors, composers, music theorists, music therapists, teachers, church musicians and organizers of musical life who, under outstanding specialists, acquire knowledge and skills which enable them to work in different music-related professions. It does its best to provide all students with conditions favourable to their proper artistic development. The school aptly prepares its students for meeting the challenges of the 21st-century world of art.
