The UOU's accomplishments are well recognized nationally and internationally. The UOU was ranked 8th nationally and 272nd worldwide in terms of SCI publications (2007). Also, the UOU has been placed among the best universities for 3 consecutive years by Korean Council for University Education. The UOU is not satisfied with its accomplishments. With a geographical advantage at the center of Korean industry, the UOU continues to develop into a specialized and globalized educational institution.
